Window Boxes...

Beach Brights via Pinterest

I would love to add some simple window boxes to the back of our home...to add some interest...however, I am not the best at keeping flowers alive...

...so as we are going into the fall....I am looking at evergreens and succulents...and found some inspirational images on Pinterest.

....love the garland effect...perfect for a simple Christmas decoration with window boxes...can you believe I said Christmas...I guess that means summer is unfortunately coming to an end!

I think I could keep the above alive...

My favorite two are...

This one...with a few pink flowers...which I can handle sprinkled within the box...as long as they are not the majority of the window box...

...and this simple but sophisticated look...

...which I think I can pull off...and may go nicely with our new house!

Happy Wednesday!

I hear boxwoods are nearly impossible to kill, and they look so trim and sophisticated (like the last photo)!

Love the look of window boxes and if you go with evergreens they can be decorated for every season!

I love the combo of boxwoods, ivy and secculents. I have all three in pots and they are the perfect combo! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I love all of those options. I've read that if you set up a drip irrigation system, which is supposed to be easy to do, window boxes are much easier to keep alive. I've also seen window boxes (maybe at frontgate?) that are meant to be somewhat self watering. They have some type of water storage system. Anyway, whatever you choose will look beautiful!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
