News...

...so I have been a bit quiet this week...but for a good reason!  We have been a bit busy as we are closing on a new (to us) home this upcoming Monday!

The above picture of our new home reminded me of....

...this room in a home from Charlottesville, VA (where I am from) that I have always adored...which was featured in Southern Living.

I wrote about this home here...

A little back story...because some of you know...we were going through the planning process of re-building the home that we currently live in....however, just before going in front of the board of zoning (which we were planning on doing in June) we took one last look around (which was at the end of May)...and found a home in a great location (just a 1/2 mile from where we live now), which would give us the larger yard that we wanted and would allow us in the future do anything we wanted with!  In addition, it is an older home (I think around 1925's)...with charm...something I wanted!

...so we were spontaneous (which if you knew us...we usually aren't with things like this)...and put in a offer at the end of May and now we are at closing!

We will be painting and cleaning up the entire inside of the house and then will be re-painting the outside...can't wait to share all of this with you!

I have to go and pick up my little Westie as he has just finished getting his summer grooming (which he has desperately needed)...but hope to be back tomorrow!

Happy Thursday!
Caroline
