...wanted to show you the arrival that came last week-- and we just put it in the living room this weekend! The lighting was not great...so the pics are a little dark...
This sofa is a vintage sofa that I had re-upholstered...in a softened jute fabric-- which is in a color called "parchment"- that I have absolutely fallen in love with!
...I know it is not Christmas...but I kept the real magnolia wreaths up...I just love them and I think they add a nice natural green look to the room:)

I adore this softened jute fabric as it is comfy, natural (eco-friendly) and gives a great mix to my clean white furniture and silk drapes...if you are ever in my little store in Nashville...I have several pieces re-upholstered in this fabric (in several different colors)...such as...
...the vintage bamboo mirror has already sold as has the large clam shell mold... |
...these stools that go with this sofa/entry table...they are re-upholstered in a "petunia" color!
I also wanted to share a quote I found in Celerie Kemble's book...To Your Taste...
"There are as many styles of beauty as there are visions of happiness." Stendhal
...something I truly believe!
Happy Monday!

Brilliant! Your room looks beautiful. Love magnolia wreaths, and I would leave them up year-round too!

Love love the made new sofa!!! Amazing what the right fabric can do for a piece! M.
Love your parchment sofa...the lines are so great and a neutral color like that will last you for years...even if the other colors in the room change.
You've got a great eye, Caroline!

Thanks for the tip on the fabric -- an area of total ignorance of me. And I love that you continue to show pictures of your home. Takes some courage, doesn't it? But, I have to say that your style of beauty is pretty fantastic.
